As a Senior Account Executive at JFK Communications, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing ongoing public relations programs for select clients in the life-science industry. You will be expected to:

Assist with strategic planning
Implement projects/programs with little oversight (including counsel, budgeting, timelines, vendor relations, client updates)
Provide strategic counsel to clients; maintain regular client contact
Contribute to organic growth of clients
Assist with JFK marketing and work with senior management on business development, including researching and developing proposals and presentations, and participating in new business pitches
Manage and mentor junior JFK colleagues, in addition to supervising freelance consultants and external vendors

Occasional travel to client meetings, medical congresses and off-site events will be included in these responsibilities. Public Relations Intern

Paid/full time $10/Hr

JFK Communications is searching for an energetic and self-starting college student or recent graduate for the Public Relations Intern position. This is a unique opportunity that offers interns hands-on experience working at a health care agency for global pharmaceutical and diagnostic companies.

A successful candidate for this position will have two years of college experience with a focus in communications or public relations. The internship end-date will be determined upon start — internships typically last for three months.

Position Overview

Support account team in daily client work which may include writing, editing, reporting, research, and project management
Write blog posts, edit website content and develop/publish social media posts
Utilize media database software to build media lists and research media outlets
Work with with account team to prepare meeting agendas and develop meeting minutes following status calls
Conduct daily/weekly media monitoring and develop reports for a variety of clients
Provide overall support to account teams as needed

Qualifications

Two years of college experience with a focus in communications or public relations
Prior internship experience and interest in health care PR is highly preferred
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Strong attention to detail
Strong communications and writing skills with knowledge of AP style
Positive attitude and professional manor for working with internal teams and external vendors

Administrative Assistant

$15/hr

Part Time Position

As an Administrative Assistant at JFK Communications, you will be responsible for assisting in the management of ongoing public relations programs for key clients. You will be expected to play an active role in supporting the planning and execution of daily activities and projects to ensure that programs meet client expectations. You will be expected to work with the firm’s senior management team on maintaining existing accounts and helping grow new business which includes research, supporting development of proposals and presentations through PowerPoint and/or Word document editing, media list development and management and some financial/accounting support. You will also be expected to assist in coordinating efforts to supervise freelance consultants and external vendors. Local travel to complete administrative tasks may be required.
