Sharon Weinstein

Sharon Weinstein is an investor relations professional with more than 20 years experience helping companies of all sizes communicate effectively with key financial audiences. Sharon’s investor relations expertise is based in three areas: auditing research for corporate positioning, developing and executing both the strategic and tactical elements of investor communications programs and understanding of the IR/corporate communications function.
Sharon has worked at both large and small communications agencies. She honed her research skills at Burson-Marsteller from 1982 to 1991. During that time Sharon rose from research analyst to Vice President and Manager-Investor Relations Research. At Burson Marsteller, she worked with world-class U.S. clients including Coca-Cola, IBM, DuPont, 3M, and Sears. She has also served high-profile European companies such as British Telecom, Glaxo, Reuters and Volvo. Sharon’s work on behalf of BellSouth during the AT&T divestiture earned a PRSA Silver Anvil in 1984.
Sharon has considerable experience in biotechnology/pharmaceutical IR and corporate communications. She has seven years experience working with Noonan/Russo, and most recently served as Director, IR and Corporate Communications at GenVec, Inc., a publicly-traded biopharmaceutical company developing gene-based therapeutics and vaccines for infectious diseases. Sharon established her own independent IR consulting practice in 1992.
